Emilio Parrilla is an eclectic musician. His musical career has been related with jazz, latin, klezmer and theatre music. Emilio currently lives in Netherlands and he focus his activity composing and playing in different music projects. As a leader he has two projects. With his Acoustic Band, he is looking for a personal sound, close to chamber music, cool jazz and avant garde. With the Band Naftule, he explores the fusion of jazz, Klezmer, flamenco, latin and theater music. He has collaborated as sideman on different projects and with great musicians: T.H.E.O., Syo Fang Octet, Gwilym Simcock and Norma Winstone with J. Ruocco´s Big Band, L'Chaim, Pedro Diaz Trio, Javier Galiana, Julian Sanchez or Miguel Vargas.
With these, and others projects, Emilio Parrilla has performed in festivals, theaters and clubs in more than 20 countries in Europe, Asia and America: Jeonju Sori Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Taichung Jazz Festival, Lowlands Paradise Festival, Siena Acquaviva Festival, Jazzolontia, Polar Jazz Night, FIA Festival... As composer he is working mostly with dance and theatre companies. With the composition "El Soberao" he got the first prize PAD 2015 to the best original composition for dance show. Also nominated to best music by prize Escenarios de Sevilla 2018 with his original composition "El viaje de Naftule" for the production "En Vano".
